Mian M. A. Shahid is the Director (qualified from PICG) / Chairman of various companies of United International Group (UIG). UIG comprises of following companies:-
He is the CEO of The United Insurance Company of Pakistan Ltd. He holds the graduation degree in law and remained in Government service for about four years. He has extensive experience in various insurance companies. He took over the charge of United Insurance Company of Pakistan Ltd. (UIC) in 1996 as a General Manager, the gross premium under his leadership has grown up many times. Under the supervision and control of M. A. Shahid, the group has earned good repute. He has provided valuable assistance to build trust and coordination with the management and he has sufficient knowledge of finance law and insurance industry. He is a member of Insurance Association of Pakistan. He is also a member of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lahore since November 2002. He is regularly attending of various seminars and workshops related to insurance & Banking affairs, organized by professional and regulatory bodies to maintain proficiencies in and outside Pakistan. Mr. Shahid is driving the Companies towards the leading position in the insurance industry and has played a leading role in developing company’s strategies, and formulating business production policies. He actively participates in the committee meetings and designs and defines business strategies. He is a prominent figure in the management of the group and his advisory support is of great value and beneficial to all. His abilities to view and analyze the financial, legal and taxation affairs are always welcomed & appreciated by the whole group.
