Huma Waheed is a resident of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan by birth.

She completed her Master of Law (Company Law) from the University of Karachi, Pakistan.

She joined United as a Manager underwriting and IT professional and introduced a computerized accounting system to the Company. In a short passage of time she got promotions and gained experience in insurance and other businesses of her Group of Companies.

In 2003 Huma was nominated and elected as a Director of the Board of the United Insurance Company of Pakistan Ltd. Company’s Board also nominated her as a working Director of the Company.

Huma Waheed is also an important pillar of United International Group. In April 2012 she was appointed as a Vice Chairperson of United International Group consisting of United Track System, United Software & Technology International, Tawasul Healthcare (TPA), Tawasul Developers, Tawasul Dubai, Tawasul Risk management, and United Farms

She is also a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
